Edrina: Thanks, yeah it's definitely a limited palette.
AJK: Yeah, I don't normally do too much abstraction, but this was interesting to me. I think the whole 9/11 thing was in my sub-concious I'm sure.

The more I look at your latest painting, the more I see in it. For instance, the sense of barrenness with the sky and landscape reminds me of the day Jesus died. And then there's in the distance the skyline of a modern city, reminding us that His death means as much for us today as it did over 2000 years ago. Well done! -- Cory
The Red Droplets are so bold. When I first saw it, I thought they could have been toned down, then I looked at and thought about it and realized it's much more symbolic this way. You See, the world we think is so real is faded...an unclear picture in the background. The blood of Christ is the real object of the painting...It transcends the picture itself as He is outside of our world...It is bold and clear. At the same time, the blood is dripping into the painting itself...Both Transcendent and Imminent. Very neat thought. I had to look at the ground to, but all the words there are fantastic. He will never leave us or forsake us...it is this promise that makes up the ground we stand on. Very symbolic. Love the colors, the clouds are amazing too!
